It’s very odd indeed… I can actually sit down for the rest of the day, because I’ve got Nothing To Do!!

Well, I have really, I could be doing lots of things, (unpacking, putting clothes in the washing machine and getting them washed, replying to e-mails, cooking supper, but I got told I didn’t need to do the latter…) but I don’t have anything to do that involves a definite deadline, or other people.

Or I could update you on last week’s escapades. It was a children’s holiday club with a pirate/treasure hunt theme… I’d taken on the task of providing the clues for the treasure hunt, and the props. (Hence the “aging” of the paper for the clues and the map.)

Oh, I’d also agreed to being one of the up-front pirate characters…on an intermittent basis, along with my parrot friend. Who managed to behave better than I did… I did have to Walk the Plank on the last day.

The Hare and Tortoise story got used one day.

I am surprised the red and black theme I went for with my costume didn’t get “Dennis the Menace” comments. But the stripy socks were certainly a highlight of the week for some people.

It’s been a great week, but I’m now very, very, very tired….zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
