I feel a need to apologise… I have failed in my duty to my readers and friends.

There is no photographic evidence of me in pirate attire. You will just have to imagine it… Tricorn black hat, floor length black cloak (I know far too many clergy who can lend me such splendid items) red stripy shirt, red and black stripy socks, and fetching black pumps/plimsolls/daps/sandshoes with silver buckles.

All on someone of the female persuasion who fits Garfield’s “I’m not overweight, I’m under tall!” description. Rather than the tall, dark dashing male of the species who would’ve looked more splendid in such a get-up! But there wasn’t a one of those available… just me.

There is no video evidence of me Walking the Plank. My misdemeanours were great and included eating chocolate at the wrong moments, being the Chief Encourager of all mischief leading to others having to Walk the Plank, suggesting my co-pirates might be a little, um, stupid at times.

There may be some concern for my mental state after all of this! A week of dodging from one character to another is quite exhausting, for someone who’s not a natural actor – and who spent much of the week with little sleep, and having nightmares about failed teaching practices.
